Chief Secretary should withdraw the notification justifying backdoor appointment within 7 days

The RPP submitted a memorandum to the Chief Secretary with regard to the Cabinet decision vide No.CAB-2/2013(Pt) dated the 14th of July 2021 and DPAR vide Order No.AR-5/ASSO/98(Vol-I) dated Kohima, the 16th July 2021, that the decision taken for the filling up of various Posts totalling 1517 under 76 Departments of the Government of Nagaland be withheld immediately as it violates the undertaking (Affidavit) submitted by the then Chief Secretary of Nagaland to the High Court, Kohima Bench, in the matter of PIL No. 11 (K) of 2015, ACAUT vs The state of Nagaland &Ors in 2016. The 2016 undertaking pertains to the subject matter “Ban on appointment on contract basis” dated 6th June 2016 which was submitted to the court by the government during the course of the PIL hearing.

The Rising People’s Party reiterated that the said vacant number of Posts be advertised and filled only through the NPSC and NSSB recruitment exams.

The RPP also demanded that the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) be made functional immediately in-order to conduct recruitment exams for the aforementioned vacant Posts.

The RPP submitted the memorandum on the 13th August 2021 and demanded that the list of grievances be acted upon by the government within 7 days of submission of the memorandum.
